SecureCRT client for windows and Linux provides advanced options for session management and many other tasks that are needed for increasing and enhancing productivity. Putty clients don't possess that level of flexibility when it comes to provisioning advanced features like SecureCRT where Putty provides general features for manipulation.

SecureCRT is a GUI-based telnet client and terminal emulator originally called CRT. It was first released in the autumn of 1995 by VanDyke Software.[3][4] Originally released as a premium version of CRT with support for SSH encryption, SecureCRT later absorbed the CRT product entirely. SecureCRT and SecureFX can be started from within each other and use a combined host information list. A separately-sold pack of command-line tools (e.g., scp, modeled after the Unix command of the same name) for use with VShell is also sold by the company. All offerings are commercialware.

Hi Michael,
It appears that the first SSH2 server is being used as a gateway server to the other SSH2 servers on that network.
Is this correct?
If so and if the gateway SSH2 server always port forwarding, it is possible to use a dynamic port forward as a firewall for all the connections needed to the other SSH2 servers.
Dynamic port forwarding is very different then standard port forwarding. Pretty much what is does is act like a SOCKS proxy server. This type of port forward really does not care about what port the data is being send from and to and can be used with any program that supports using a SOCKS proxy.
There are 2 phases for the setup of this port forward.
First, create a normal session to connect to the gateway SSH2 server. Once the session is created, click the 'Add' button in the 'Port Forwarding' sub-category under 'Connection' in the 'Session Options'. There should now be a window opened labeled 'Local Port Forwarding Properties'. In the Name field, give it a name that refers to its function (like SOCKS port forward). Select the 'Manually select local IP address for this forwarded connection'. In the data box enter 127.0.0.1 (or another local port that you wish to use). In the 'Port:' data box, enter 9921 (99xx is often the port that a SOCKS proxy listens on). In the lower area, click the box in front of 'Dynamic forwarding using SOCKS 4 or 5' to add a check to the box. Now click the OK to this box and the 'Session Options'. Now, connect to this session.
We now need to add the SOCKS proxy setup that we just created in the first session. To add this new proxy server, click the 'Add' button in the 'Firewall' category of the 'Global Options' for SecureCRT. In the 'Firewall Properties' we are going to enter the information we just used in the previous session. First, a name needs to be chosen for this firewall (something like SCRT SOCKS proxy). The 'Type' should be set to 'SOCKS version 5 (no authentication)', The 'Hostname or IP' will be 127.0.0.1 and the 'Port' will be '9921. Click 'Ok' to save this new firewall and then click 'Ok' to exit the 'Global Options'.
Then create a new session to 'Host2' using that server's host name. Select the new firewall from the 'Firewall' drop down in the 'SSH2' sub-category under 'Connection' in the 'Session Options'.
When this session connects, it will be going through the gateway SSH2 server to reach the other hosts. This same firewall can be used for all the hosts that need to be connected to through this gateway server.
Would this be a possible solution ?
We are also looking into adding an option to execute a command on the remote when SecureCRT connects.
